Gary King is a composer, producer, multi instrumentalist and a founding member of The King McHughs.

 

Gary grew up in Irvine Aryshire, Scotland and his love of music started from an early age when he was given his first guitar by his father who introduced him into the folk and military band scene.

 

By the age of 10, gary was also playing the violin and piano and took the Royal School of Music Exams  which eventually enabled him to study Classical Music at Edinburgh University.

After leaving University he went on to form Imaginatek Productions, a recording studio that went on to record a number of well known artists in Spain.

​

Gary has always had an original approach to creating music, never afraid to fuse different styles to create interest and diversity.

​

In 2017 he got back in touch with his old School friend Frank McHugh and together they formed The King McHughs.
